"This is the final installment in the "Lion's Den" series of videos. I'm in the process of editing the forthcoming script to support the book's on-screen potential, and wanted to share this with you as a testament to how I've become more and more inspired by the prospect of having my book displayed in lights and LIVE action. It has been a long journey, and there is still much more road to travel... But with progress comes the eventual moment where as an artist you can begin to see value in what you contribute to the art form. Update: Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest

The IbL Media Group is proud to announce that The Lion's Den  has been considered for Amazon.com's "Breakthrough Novel Award."  Over 10,000 written pieces were submitted for the contest, from which 2,000 would be selected for review.  Of these, only 500 were then chosen for semi-final consideration, and would be posted on the Amazon.com artists page for national recognition, and to be judged for the May 2009 award.  Though our title was not chosen for the semi's, it did make the top 2,000!!  For the full story and T.J.'s take on the competition, coming soon...

The Lion’s Den is the story of Alex Pryce, an urban Ivy Leaguer who is both the product of Chicago’s financial district and the inner city borough; who forwent professional designations & Wall Street Hedge Funds, for an underground cash pool & the Las Vegas strip.  This story searches into the mindset of a hustler with youthful ambitions, Harvard credentials, limitless credibility, numerous professional designations… who instead of taking Wall Street by storm, elects to head the most dangerous money laundering syndicate ever assembled.

This novel is the first of a volume series that the author  plans to release (the follow-up is scheduled for Spring 2009).  The main character is an African American male who escapes the gutters of the inner city to an Ivy League education and career placement on the Chicago Stock Exchange.  He eventually grows sick of corporate pandering that continues to hinder his professional advancement and decides to leave the big uptown firm for a smaller brokerage wire-house with better pay, less oversight, manageable restrictions… and thus finds himself engulfed in a proposed money laundering scheme.  Consideration to wash bills further propels him into an illegal industry of numbers manipulation in the one and only US city where market tampering & odds making are a normal economic practice… LAS VEGAS!  (Continued)
